Dear Fox River,
We are in a battalion that is in the Northern Part of Iraq. We have been in this battalion now for a few years and have seen two back to back deployments with only a few months in between to see our families. We are trying to give the soldiers that are under us a little gift that they could use over and over again. I, LT Coulter, have tested these socks to the fullest extent while at Ranger school for 4 months and continue to wear the same ones on this deployment. SSG Fast has battle tested these socks on the last two deployments and can verify that they are the best piece of equipment he has; second only to his rifle. We tell them that these are the only socks to own due to the fact that we have never gotten blisters on our feet despite the climate, terrain, or mission we are accomplishing. As infantrymen our rifle and our feet are our life lines. If either malfunctions we face the chance that we will not return home to our loved ones. Every time we put them on they make our feet feel brand new even after we have worn them for over a year.
They look at them on the internet the few chances that they even get access to a computer due to the fact that we are isolated from major military bases here in Iraq on the front lines. However, they cannot afford them due to the fact that their pay is minimal despite the sacrifices they make for their country and the Iraqi people. We would really appreciate it if we could give them a little taste of quality and comfort in the most physically demanding of conditions their feet will ever face.
