We just returned home this weekend. I can't thank you enough, your socks were awesome and I know they saved us a lot of foot problems. I am thankful that there are people like Fox River who care. It is awesome that you expanded your list to other units. Please accept a thank you from my unit. God Bless
LCPL Bouchillon wrote Fox River originally:
"I am a Marine deployed to Ramadi, Iraq. I have been a Fox River consumer for a few years now. I have purchased many pair as I used to do a lot of upland bird hunting. However, here in Iraq the supply of socks is very little, and I can never seem to get any of your socks. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated."
We then wrote back to LCPL Bouchillon about the program we were about to launch, Fox River Socks for Soldiers, and he agreed to be a contact for his unit. He wrote us back:
"I would be happy to be the contact for Socks for Soldiers. I know a lot of my Marines have been trying to find your socks. However, with the shutting down of the base, the only socks available are Thorlos. They come apart easy and don't last very long. I should be able to include 22 Marines."
