LCPL Thompson's mom sent a new list they had additional soliders added to their unit. Below a some information provided about this group of soldiers:

"...Due to President Obamas increase in troops, Brian had 28 new marines added to their small platoon this week. They are in the Mountains of ...Afghanistan. They are sleeping in huts made out of scrap wood and sleeping on the ground. It has begun snowing daily. So dry feet and socks are the desire...."
